These strange frogs have as the english word says hornes, mainly above their eyes.

Ceratophrys Ornata is the most offerd species,
This and ecspecially the other species are hard to find.
These animals lay the biggest time of their life underground.
Cage demands
Place one frog in one cage which is at least 60x40 cm or 15x23 inches,
Because this frogs can grow up to 20 cm or 7 inches in diameter.
The floor must consist of 15 cm or 6 inches of soil mixed with sand, mos, ground from the woods.
The soil has to be refreshed reguarely, otherwise the frogs will get infections.
A water bowl is a must in his cage.
Tempeture: 25-28 celcius. when day.
RV: high, spray with water twice a week.
Feeding
The frog its mouth is not the biggest part of his body for nothing:
He eats, all kinds of insects, mice, wurms, fish, pieces of meat, rats, and so on.
Watch out this frog will get fat very fast, he eats like a goldfish he can eat himself to death.
Mating and reproduction
Breeding these frogs tends to be difficult,
Try to give these creatures dryness for a few weeks,
by not spraying for 3 or 4 weeks and the last 4 weeks one time a week.
Then rise the tempeture to 27-30 celcius or 80-86 fahrhenheit.
After 2 months go back to the normal surcomstances, and spray 2 weeks long 3 times a week.
When something in the process seems to go wrong abort immidiately, otherwise the frogs can die.
When the frogs mate succesfully, hundreds of eggs will be disposed in the waterbowl.
