The averredge Anolis is about 10 cm or 4 inches long (without tale).
However, Anolis Equestris, grows up to 55 cm or 20 inches (with tale).
Anolis Cariolensis is a perfect beginners lizard. easy to keep and do not requier a large cage.
There are 300 species Anolis, but only few are kept in csaptivity.
In nature they are found in the Caribien and Noord- and South America.
Demands:
30x30x50 cm or 12x12x20 inches, for an couple small Anolis species (10 cm or 4 inches without tale).
100x80x150 cm or 40x30x60 inches for an trio Anolis Equestris.
floorcover: mixture of sand, and ground from the woods
amount of light: 12-14 hours a day, 20 degrees celcius or 68 degrees farhenheit.
and 35 celcius or 95 farhenheit right under the lightbolt.

For Anolis Equestris is fruit and vegetables also very healty.
Difference in gender:
With Anolis Cariolensis en Anolis Sagrei are the men ditermend by the thought.
Anolis Equstris jeuveniles have yellow sripes accros their backs.
Breeding and reproduction:
Anolis Cariolensis and Sagrei need a winter sleep between 20-24 celcius or 68-75 farhenheit for two months.
During the wintersleep 8-10 hours of light, feed less, and spray two times a week.
When correctly followed with healty animals, will the female lay 1 or 2 eggs every 1-5 weeks.
The eggs will be buried 1-5 cm or 0.25-1 inch deep.
very useful is to put a little (not to much they are no birds) bird sand on the floor, this will indicate were the animals have dug.
You will notice when the female have lain her eggs, because after laing her eggs she is twice as thin.

A common 30x30x50 cm or 12x12x20 inches cage sounds perfect, but isn't;
it will get to wet causing infections and other nasty damage to the lizard.
A small cage will also increase lethal (!) stress.
